June's UFC 131 event from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada will be getting the "Prelims Live" treatment on Spike TV, according to a report from MMAJunkie.com.

The UFC and Spike came into an agreement to air 12 hour-long Prelims Live specials on the network in 2011, and UFC 131 will mark the fourth straight pay-per-view event for the UFC to receive a special.

No bouts have been announced for the program, which will air as the lead in to the main card on pay-per-view, but the report states that a lightweight bout between Yves Edwards and Sam Stout, as well as the featherweight bout between Dustin Poirier and Rani Yahya, are the leading candidates for slots on Spike.

The main card is headlined by the heavyweight bout between Brock Lesnar and Junior Dos Santos, and this will mark the third straight weekend that Spike TV will feature live fights. UFC 130 will air a Prelims Live special on May 28, and then The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale takes place on June 4.

Penick's Analysis: Between Spike TV, Ion Television and Facebook the UFC has ramped up the number of fights they're offering to fans for free this year, and it's great for the fans and the fighters. I really hope Poirier-Yahya gets tapped for the Spike broadcast, and though Edwards-Stout is likely with both having at least ten fights in the Octagon each, there are still undercard fights that could benefit from the slot, namely Dave "PeeWee" Herman's UFC debut against Joey Beltran. But all-in-all, it's great that we'll get more free fights for the card.
