UFC veterans Jens Pulver and Drew McFedries will head up the next Titan Fighting Championships event on HDNet on May 27, the organization announced today.

"Our first two events on HDNet were met with both praise from critics and fans alike. Titan Fighting 18 will be a continuation of our formula for Titan Fighting 16 and 17 with a mix of nationally recognized names and rising prospects," said Titan Fighting CEO Joe Kelly. "Pulver and McFedries will not be the only national headliners on this show as we are completing negotiations for two other high profile fights. In short, Titan Fighting 18 will be our deepest show in history."

Pulver, the UFC's first ever lightweight champion, is attempting to find some resurgence to his career, coming into the event on a two fight win streak after losing six straight fights and eight out of nine from 2006-2010. He'll meet 10-2 Iowa pro Mike Powell in a featherweight fight on the card, which takes place from Memorial Hall in Kansas City, Kansas.

"The Kansas City MMA scene has a deep appreciation of former UFC champions. Tim Sylvia was well received when he fought at Memorial Hall in January and Jens is revered by many fight fans in this area so we?re excited to be bringing him into Titan having won his last two fights," Kelly said.

McFedries returned to action at Titan Fighting Championships 16 in January for the first time since being released from the UFC in September of 2009. The near ten year veteran of the sport is 5-5 over his last ten fights. All but one of his nine career victories has come by stoppage. He'll meet 6-2 middleweight Darryl Cobb on the card.

"Drew vs. Darryl is going to be a tremendous standup war," Kelly said. "McFedries has very polished boxing for a mixed martial artist while Darryl's Muay Thai skills are excellent. Both guys know how to bring it in the cage and Memorial Hall will come alive for this fight."
